Akitoshi Akama is the head chef at "Osaka-ya Hiina no Yu" and the author of "Delicious Wild Plants: Enjoying Japanese Cuisine with Picked Vegetables" , published by Yamato Keikokusha.

 

After graduating from the Osaka Abeno Tsuji Culinary School, he honed his skills by training at various establishments, including ryokans and hotels, primarily in the Kansai region. Currently, he is a featured guest on Yomiuri TV's "Kansai Information Network Ten" in the segment "Can a Chef Beat a Homemaker? The Cooking Battle."

 

With the belief that "through cooking, one can touch people's hearts," Akitoshi Akama passionately promotes Japanese cuisine and Japanese culture, aiming to reach not only the next generation but also the world at large.
